Residential Habilitation is More than Housing

The most basic of benefits we have to offer through our Residential Habilitation service is that it provides a safe housing alternative for individuals with disabilities. Our residents will enjoy a private or double-bed bedroom, ample closet and storage space, freedom to personalize their living spaces according to their own personal style, freshly prepared meals and snacks, and friendly staff to help with household management.

Our home is staffed by friendly, professional, and competent Direct Support Professionals 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Staff is available to provide any forms of assistance the individuals may require, including personal care assistance, meal preparation, cleaning and organization, companionship, assistance with medication and medical visits, and transportation.

A great advantage to choosing us as your Residential Habilitation provider is that our Lead Medical Case Manager is an actual on-site registered nurse.

In addition to coordinating medical visits and lab screenings, our nurse is able to communicate with doctors to provide competent advocacy for client needs as well as medication management counseling. We ensure that clients receive all recommended specialist screenings and annual checkups. We provide detailed reporting on this to all parties involved.

We are passionate about helping our clients achieve the highest quality of life possible for themselves. To that end, we offer a robust amount of experiences and opportunities for personal growth, fulfillment, and FUN. We plan daily community outings, field trips, vacations, volunteering experiences, and time spent with loved ones. In addition, we bring in monthly guests who specialize in various holistic health specialties. These include mental health experts, yoga and pilates instructors, mindfulness meditation experts, aestheticians, massage therapists, etc.

Each resident will have an individualized life skills training program, wherein they are taught to develop and/ or improve critical adult life skills. Each plan is tailored to the individual's assessed strengths and needs, and annual goals are established to give their plan a sense of direction.

This milieu-based training is ongoing and done in a natural fashion.

Additionally, clients are provided training on their rights, abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and community safety.
