Personal Supports
In-home or community-based direct care supports delivered in a one-to-one format for individuals 21 and older on the Medicaid Waiver. These services can range from personal care and meal preparation/ feeding to supporting individuals to have greater access to their communities.
Respite
This service can most simply be described as "Personal Supports for people under 21 years of age". This service provides a "respite" for parents and caregivers who care for medically needy or behaviorally challenging children and young adults on the Medicaid Waiver.
Life Skills Development 1 (Companion)
Companion services are community-based supports wherein an individual is matched with a Direct Support Professional based on compatibility. The professional then designs community inclusion activities based on the individual's preferences with the purpose of increasing socialization and engagement with the community at large.
